Qutab minar : This tall minaret standing 72 mtrs. In height was
built by Qutub-ud-din-aibak in 1193 and was completed by lltutmish. The
diameter of its base is 14.3 mtrs. While that of its top is 2.7 mtrs.
India Gate : 42 mtrs high free standing arch designed by Luteyns in
1913. It was originally called the All India War Memorial in the memory of
90000 soldiers who lost their lives in World War 1. An eternal flame
was lit here to honour the Amar Jawans (immortal soldiers).
